The Opportunity:

The Defence & Security Portfolio hosts a series of market-leading events across the UK, Europe, and Asia. These events range from Confexes to large-scale exhibitions, all of which are leaders in their respective fields. Over the next 12 months, we will continue to expand and innovate, exploring new geographies and platforms.

We are looking for a Brand Marketing Executive to join our dynamic marketing team and support the Brand Manager across our portfolio of brands.

You will play a key role in developing our brand propositions, implementing structured customer research and insights to inform product development, branding, and tone of voice across channels and assets.

You will ensure our brand tone, look, and feel are consistent and resonate with our audiences, working with the Campaigns team to reflect this in our campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the development and execution of event strategies to increase brand awareness, engage customers, and grow our events.
  2. Ensure brand guidelines, key messages, and tone of voice are understood, used, and embedded in all customer touchpoints.
  3. Act as a brand and customer champion internally and externally.
  4. Understand the customer value journey for key audiences, working with the Brand Manager and Marketing Ops to monitor KPIs and optimize performance.
  5. Manage partnership agreements with media partners, associations, affiliates, technology providers, and other stakeholders.
  6. Support agency training, ensuring brand assets and communications are consistent.
  7. Create plans and activities to grow our customer database and ensure continuous growth.
  8. Participate in research and insight projects related to customer experience and brand development.
  9. Collaborate within the marketing team to maximize promotional opportunities and share best practices.
  10. Update backend systems, including web pages, landing pages, content, and copy, ensuring messaging and SEO best practices are followed.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Proven experience in brand marketing and successful campaign implementation.
  • Experience in developing insight programs to understand customer needs.
  • Stakeholder engagement and partnership building skills.
  • Research, analysis, and effectiveness measurement skills.
  • Experience in creating customer care strategies and enhancing customer experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms such as Pardot and Salesforce is desirable.
  • Knowledge of digital event platforms is desirable.
  • Understanding of GDPR laws, privacy policies, and preference centers.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and motivation to make an impact.
  • Experience in updating websites and optimizing content for SEO.
