The Opportunity:

Due to the continued growth of the InsureTech portfolio in Europe, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Manager to join the team and help expand the success of our European events and digital content.

Key Responsibilities

General

  1. Consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets (ÂŁ1M+ annual revenue).
  2. Drive revenue growth by executing high-impact sales activities, including new opportunity generation, pipeline management, and closing business.
  3. Adopt a challenger sales approach, guiding clients toward solutions that drive meaningful results.
  4. Deliver against key strategic objectives aligned with your focus area.
  5. Develop and maintain deep expertise in all ITC products, including industry demographics, content themes, customer profiles, and future strategy.
  6. Stay ahead of market trends by actively monitoring industry news, reports, and competitive insights.
  7. Collaborate effectively across marketing, content, and operations teams to enhance customer experience and maximize business outcomes.
  8. Represent ITC Europe with professionalism, maintaining high standards of customer service and brand integrity.

Account management

  1. Use Salesforce to manage accounts and provide accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts.
  2. Conduct regular face-to-face meetings and build strong relationships with your client base.
  3. Understand customers’ business objectives and deliver tailored solutions that offer ROI.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to maximize investment from clients by solution selling, with a range of package elements through a tailored campaign.
  5. Focus on increasing yields of existing accounts and target a retention rate of 75%+.
  6. Feed into the event strategy with feedback from your customers.
  7. Arrange customer service calls pre-event to ensure that your clients are prepared for events, aware of all sales, marketing, and PR opportunities to deliver exceptional ROI.
  8. Assist with credit control issues as required to ensure no bad debt against your accounts.
  9. Rebooking effectively on-site at events.

New Business Sales

  1. Effective prospecting – be fully aware of the competitive event and media landscape – visit competitor shows to source leads (some international travel required).
  2. Identify new vendor categories to sell to and work with the content team and show directors to build the right proposition for them in the event.
  3. Generate new business accounts; this will represent approximately 50% of your target.

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours

  1. Previous experience in a similar role, consistently achieving targets of ÂŁ750K- ÂŁ1M+.
  2. Strong commercial acumen, relationship builder & contributor of ideas.
  3. Ability to plan for the short, medium, and long term.
  4. Ability to sell coherent multi-media campaigns.
  5. Experience at managing incoming marketing/Pardot leads quickly.
  6. Determination to exceed expectations and problem solve.
  7. Effective communicator internally & externally.
  8. A hungry, motivated, and competitive self-starter.
  9. Ability to deliver new business revenues.
  10. Ability to grow existing revenues.
  11. Ability to work with senior stakeholders.
  12. Adept at networking & able to socialize productively.
  13. Experience of international sales preferred.
  14. Experience on Salesforce preferred.
  15. Comfortable at being a brand ambassador for ITC.
  16. Ability to use Sales Navigator and create targeted leads lists effectively – prospecting skills are key to this role.
  17. Ability to actively listen and act and adapt accordingly.
