The Opportunity: Clarion’s Digital Marketing Division is the home of two market-leading brands Affiliate Summit and Creator Economy Live, which are market leaders and none of which are your typical conferences. We bring together blue-chip brands, bloggers, Instagram influencers and the world’s largest ecommerce sellers. We boast a mind-blowing pedigree of speakers including Richard Branson, Magic Johnson, Martha Stewart, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Our team is spread across FOUR TIME ZONES, so we run on daily rev ups, weekly wrap ups and hundreds of Teams messages (plus a few gifs). We are passionate about feedback, learning and improving, our customers, our dogs and cats, and reality TV (hello, Real Housewives).
The Candidate: The Senior Campaign Manager will play a key role across Affiliate Summit East and Affiliate Summit West, reporting to the Head of Marketing and working alongside the marketing team to deliver marketing objectives. This role involves creating and managing the campaign strategy for each event, allowing the marketing team to hit their goals. The ideal candidate will be a marketing all-rounder with proven leadership abilities; a proven track record of delivering growth; and the ability to manage their role as the campaign evolves. They will have the ability to focus on the “big picture” when developing the campaign plans; manage and focus the team on campaign delivery; and provide status updates and recommendations for campaign adjustments. They will be analytical, and data orientated with a history of testing and campaign optimisation, but with creative flair and exceptional attention to detail. They will enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and have experience in managing agencies, freelancers and team members.
Key responsibilities:
- Campaign Strategy & Leadership: Creating and managing the Affiliate Summit East and Affiliate Summit West campaign plans - driving acquisition and retention in key segments to achieve our business goals across events and digital products. Effectively communicating and presenting the campaign plans, strategies, and updates throughout the event cycle to the team and stakeholders.
- Campaign Delivery & Optimisation: Accountable for delivery of the Affiliate Summit East and Affiliate Summit West campaign plans - effectively briefing, managing, and optimising the output of the internal team and external resources. Writing and proofreading any copy for promotional materials - ensuring all brand and style guides are adhered to. Ensuring all promotional marketing materials created are tailored towards our key avatars/personas.
- Data-Driven: Use business intelligence, customer feedback and insight to suggest and implement new campaign ideas. Owning all the Affiliate Summit East and Affiliate Summit West marketing reporting from weekly reporting of event KPIs, forecasts to post event reports that deliver insight, analysis and recommendations. Managing the Affiliate Summit East and Affiliate Summit West marketing budget. Identify key industry trends, innovations or technologies that can drive growth.
- Customer-Centric: Ensuring that all campaign plans and deliverables are heavily influenced by customer data, research and feedback. Continued learning (and more importantly, implementing that learning!) about the affiliate marketing and influencer marketing industry through attending events, reading, listening to podcasts and webinars.
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
- Excellent knowledge of best practice across email, social media, paid media, landing pages, websites and chatbots (ideally with depth of knowledge in 2-3 channels).
- Excellent direct response copywriter and copy editor.
- Experience creating and delivering campaigns across multiple marketing channels.
- Exceptional project management skills – organised, proactive and able to multi-task.
- In depth knowledge of marketing performance metrics.
- Excellent communicator - great verbal and written communications skills that can translate campaign strategies in a simple way to a range of stakeholders and team members.
- Obsessed with feedback - we love to continuously learn and develop and being able to deliver and receive feedback is a critical skill in our team.
- Be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills - driven to understand “why” and takes the initiative to identify trends and gaps.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise relevant tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience working with industry leading marketing technology tools like Pardot, Sprout Social, Salesforce CRM, chatbots, landing page software etc.
- Excellent ability to work with data sets, interpret trends and provide analysis and recommendations based on data that support our goals.
- Proven ability to learn new tools and software quickly and independently.
