We have an exciting opportunity for a French speaker to join EnergyNet, a leading producer of investment conferences in Africa’s energy sectors; with a strong reputation for organizing the Africa Energy Forum – the premier event for power sector decision-makers in Africa. We also host targeted investment meetings in emerging markets with high power generation potential. Our recent events have been held in locations such as Lisbon, Brussels, Miami, Cape Town, Cartagena, Lima, Panama City, Nairobi, and Dar es Salaam.

You will be responsible for selling on specific events within EnergyNet’s Queen’s Award‑winning portfolio of conferences. EnergyNet has developed a comprehensive series of events ranging from the long‑running Africa Energy Forum to the Youth Energy Summit.
Reporting to the Group Director – Sales Performance, this Delegate Sales Executive role is a phone‑based sales position focused on establishing new relationships and extending existing ones with customers. The ideal candidate will be an entry‑level sales professional who is commercially curious, confident, and has an interest in learning proven sales processes. They will be a motivated self‑starter who sets ambitious yet achievable goals, tracks performance accurately, and is keen to develop and improve continuously.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell over the phone to existing and potential new clients to meet realistic sales revenue targets in English and French.
- Create, develop, and maintain excellent relationships with clients through a consultative sales approach, demonstrating the value of attending EnergyNet’s conferences.
- Keep abreast of market developments, identify, and research new growth areas for sales.
- Maintain key customer care objectives.
- Help develop strategies and initiatives with your line manager to ensure the ongoing growth and development of the conferences and your role.
- Liaise with the Marketing Team and Line Manager to follow up on enquiries, upsell, update the database, generate new business, manage group sales, and produce reports.
- Monitor and evaluate all competitor activity.
