We are exclusively representing a leading manufacturer of test and measurement equipment. They are looking to hire a Electronics repair technician to be based in there lab in Norwich.
The main responsibilities would be:
- To test and repair a wide variety of equipment to ensure adherence to defined specifications and quality standards.
- As required by the Production Team Leader, to assess/sign calibration certificates for defined products.
- Responsible to adherence to defined processes in assigned work area, including but not limited to; Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, Safe Systems of Work or Engineering Drawings.
- Take part in the complex diagnosis and rework of products down to Component level and record and/or escalate fault(s) to Team Leaders/Manufacturing Engineering/Metrology/Quality Engineer(s) as required.
- As required, partake in the creation, review and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures for both current and new products.
Education
The ideal candidate will have qualifications similar to the below. We will however consider candidates who have relevant/equivalent on the job experience in the Electronics field.
- HND/HNC In Electronics/Electrical Engineering (Analog Preferred)
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
Functional Knowledge:
- Use of Test and Measurement Equipment (DMMs, Oscilliscopes, Waveform Generators, Spectrum Analyzers etc)
- In depth understanding of electronic component theory and practical application and behaviour
- RF Electronics Understanding/Experience is a significant benefit
