As Manager, R&D Software Quality, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of our software solutions that support clinical research worldwide. You will lead a high-performing Software Quality Engineering team and partner closely with R&D, Product, and Project Management to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage a team of software quality engineers, including automation engineers and manual testers, supporting Agile software development initiatives
- Plan, prioritize, and oversee quality engineering activities to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Provide people leadership including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and professional development
- Define, communicate, and execute test strategies across projects, ensuring alignment with business, regulatory, and quality requirements
- Oversee test planning, execution, reporting, and traceability across system, integration, regression, and acceptance testing
- Establish and continuously improve quality processes, standards, and testing methodologies, including automation and continuous integration practices
- Evaluate, select, and implement testing tools, frameworks, and techniques aligned with organizational standards
- Ensure integrity and completeness of testing and acceptance activities, including coordination of security and system testing
- Partner with software development, product management, and project management teams to evaluate deliverables against acceptance criteria
- Identify quality risks, audit findings, and process gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions
- Provide expert guidance on quality management practices, testing standards, and regulatory expectations
- Maintain and update organizational quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software quality engineering, including at least 3 years in a people management role
- Proven experience leading and mentoring teams of manual and automation test engineers
- Strong expertise in manual and automated testing tools, frameworks, and architectures
- Experience working in Agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
- Solid background in DevOps practices and cloud-based software solutions
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing techniques (functional, integration, system, regression)
- Hands‑on knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby, as well as SQL
- Experience testing web APIs and/or mobile applications
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools; experience with Polarion is an advantage
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11 and cGxP, is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Based in or able to work from Estenfield, Germany (hybrid work arrangement)
