Area Manager – Store Division (South West) – Maternity Cover

The Role :
Deliver all company, brand and retail partner strategies and initiatives, driving growth within existing retail and professional treatment accounts, and develop new business opportunities within store, ensuring all business targets are achieved. Build positive working relationships with external stakeholders driving Clarins as the \’Brand of Choice\’ in accordance with the Brand Strategy.
Lead on the full recruitment process, networking & referrals, inclusive of timely action on interviewing and planning onboarding. Guide and develop career progression by facilitating relevant training & engagement opportunities with Succession planning at the forefront of professional development whilst driving Clarins as an \’Employer of Choice.\’
What you\’ll do:
Service Delivery
- Implement and deliver company strategy, brand business plans and Marketing initiatives for all areas of the business & business services.
- Deliver & Champion all retail partner joint business plans and initiatives driving high performance teams
- Ensure all retail, treatment and activity targets are communicated and delivered, working closely with any underperforming teams or individuals.
- Ensure in-store stock levels are optimised and all ordering procedures are implemented and followed bringing any issues to the attention of line manager & NAM.
- Maintain effective account management by conducting a physical and virtual set journey cycle and calling frequency.
- Ensure that the Area Manager Split of Time is being incorporated into the day to day, and the time split is being adhered to accordingly, frequently discussing with line manager.
- Initiate and manage dedicated event planning & CBCE support with in-store team, ensuring representation of Clarins within the department promoting Clarins as the \’Brand of Choice\’.
- Operate within the agreed FTE productivity budgets and ensure these are met bringing any potential areas of concern to the immediate attention of line manager.
- Plan and implement the National Mobile Team schedule for designated area to ensure full support is provided to the accounts and Skin Spas
Coaching and Leadership
- Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate instore teams ensuring regular contact with teams and individuals.
- Host and deliver regular Business Development days with in-store teams.
- Adopt a proactive and forward-thinking approach to the business.
- Take responsibility and appropriate action for the development and management of employees; being proactive with any areas of development identified.
- Guide and develop career progression by facilitating relevant training.
- Support Training Hub and Virtual Training Session, ensuring attendance of all team members as required.
- Conduct PDR\’s for employees to drive successful performance or identify areas of development. Coaching key Managers to conduct PDR\’s for their teams.
- Responsible for employee welfare and health and safety management.
Internal and External Business Partners and Relationship Management
- Champion Company Brand Values.
- Implement and adhere to all company policies and P&C employee relation procedures.
- Develop, build, and maintain productive communication, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build, develop and maintain close working relationships with key store/digital/operational management, ensuring Clarins is the \’Brand of Choice\’, hosting regular business review meetings both virtually and physically with efficient follow-thru and action.
- Work with the Talent & Acquisition Team, meeting regularly to discuss feedback, trends, and any areas of concern. Ensuring that the recruitment processes for new hires and internal movements are being adhered to and the right candidates/employees are being selected for the specific role.
- Support best practice nationally by sharing ideas and knowledge to better grow and adapt to changes in the market.
Data Analysis and Business Tools
- Champion the implementation and use of E-Pro and C- Link with all teams and individuals
- Gain advanced knowledge of Digital platforms and devise coaching plans to upskill in-store team knowledge (Salesforce/C-Link/Sisence/Workplace/Statistics Portal)
- Review and manage all aspects related to the Area\’s HR platform, providing feedback where required,
- Analyse turnover data and work with HR Business partners to improve employee retention, creating area action plans to deliver results on employee satisfaction feedback
- Utilise Workplace communication and engagement through message and video to ensure the in-store teams are kept informed of all company plans and working practices
- Share in store feedback on Workplace to assist future brand plans
- Hold a comprehensive knowledge of all business tools and their functionality for the company and retail partners Have a working knowledge and understanding of all key competitive brands in the retail and professional treatment arenas, performance and current trends

You have:
- Qualification in business, marketing, sales or similar field desirable
- Commercially aware with a proven sales track record
- Ability to analyse information, plan and implement development programmes
- Proven experience of remote management, leading, driving and developing individuals and teams
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent relationship building skills, both internal and external
- Experience with performance management, Employee Relations and general people management practices
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications; Word, Excel & Powerpoint
- Comfortable using digital tools and applications
