Due to continuing expansion our client, an international manufacturing company, is actively seeking a proactive, dedicated and ambitious National Account Manager to support, manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers and generate new business by identifying opportunities within the customer base.


Reporting to the Sales Manager and working remotely, duties to include:


Account management of existing accounts by proactively seeking ways to maintain and increase sales and margin

Completing corporate tenders and communicating within all areas of the customers business

Operate a comprehensive call cycle, incorporating visiting your top spending accounts, new leads and potential sales opportunities within an agreed timescale

Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success.

Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients requirements are met and ensuring brand consistency

Communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value

Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfilment

Negotiate contracts whilst maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards

Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to set, implement strategies for new products and ensure full compliance on all sales, promotional and marketing activity

Participation in all staff training, team meetings and all company events

Collect and analyse sales data and trends, stay up to date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales

Monthly one on one meetings and quarterly appraisals to review and discuss performance and individual development plans.

Attend and present at local & national Trade Shows

Buying responsibilities on core product lines

As a remote worker, ensure contact is maintained with the office-based teams.



The successful candidate will have prior experience within an account management role and ideally a background in manufacturing, foodservice and/or FMCG sector, with a proven track record of converting new business.

You will also display exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities together with the ability to work independently and professionally whilst out in the field. As this is a field-based role a full, clean driving licence is essential.
