Due to continuing expansion, our client, a national manufacturing company, is actively seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and ambitious Account Manager to increase sales and profitability of the business within a given geographic area. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for securing sales, customer satisfaction and loyalty to the company brand.
- Manage a portfolio of new and existing clients.
- Build strong and positive relationships with clients at various levels.
- Ensure best commercial fit to customer and business.
- Maximise selling opportunities by analysis of customer needs.
- Update clients on issues such as new products, promotional campaigns, or joint marketing programs.
- Use the tools provided to analyse customer accounts to highlight downtrading lines and accounts and spot new opportunities and then action accordingly.
- Provide detailed management information reports to clients as and when required.
- Daily liaison with other members of the team to provide information and ensure that clients receive excellent customer service.
- Carry out analysis and produce client reports on an as and when required basis.
- Act as the key interface between the Clients and all relevant internal departments.
- Manage customer issues by using an internal support desk system to ensure the issues are resolved in a fast and professional manner.
- Complete the company sales training program (in whatever form) given to you and adapt it for your personal use and stay up to date.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a business development role and/or a background within food and/or drink, a Chef or experience of the hospitality or Catering sector with a passion for food. You will also display exceptional communication, interpersonal abilities, and organisational skills together with a corporate and professional approach to work always. You will demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively and prioritise a heavy workload to meet strict deadlines. A current driving licence is also essential as the role is field based.
