Our client, a national IT company, are currently recruiting a confident Field‑Based AV Engineer to join our client’s expanding installation and service team. This role is ideal for an engineer with solid hands‑on experience who is ready to take ownership of projects, support junior colleagues, and deliver high‑quality AV solutions across commercial, corporate, education and public‑sector environments. Working Remotely, duties to include: * Install, configure and commission AV systems including displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems and video conferencing platforms * Conduct on‑site service visits, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance * Complete structured cabling, terminations and equipment mounting to professional standards * Support project managers with system testing, documentation and client handover * Provide clear, customer‑focused technical support during installation and service visits * Ensure all work meets health & safety requirements and manufacturer specifications As a successful candidate you will have experience as an AV Engineer or AV Technician in a field‑based role with a strong understanding of AV signal flow, hardware, control systems and VC technologies, competence with installation, cabling (Cat5/6), troubleshooting and commissioning with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans. Professional communication skills and confidence working independently on client sites is also essential as is a Full UK driving licence. Experience with Crestron, Extron, AMX, Q‑SYS, Poly, Cisco or Microsoft Teams Rooms and industry certifications (CTS, manufacturer training, networking qualifications) would be beneficial.
