Design Engineer, Hybrid, Full or Part Time

Due to continuing expansion our client, a national Engineering company are seeking a talented and innovative Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Develop detailed schematics and design documentation for new products and systems.

Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in existing designs and implement effective solutions.

Utilise Simulink for system modelling and simulation to validate design concepts.

Create 2D and 3D models using CAD software, particularly Solid Works, to support product development.

Employ MATLAB for data analysis and algorithm development related to design projects.

Design systems with a focus on GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure manufacturability.

Use Lab View for testing and validation of prototypes, ensuring they meet performance criteria.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project requirements and timelines.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in design engineering.

Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Solid Works, for creating detailed designs.

Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies.

Experience with MATLAB for data processing and algorithm development is advantageous.

Knowledge of system design principles, including GD&T practices, is essential.

Proficient in Lab View for testing applications related to engineering projects.

Understanding of logic controllers and their integration into design solutions is beneficial.
