Our client, an international manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Production & Factory Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality output of production facility. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys developing people, processes, and performance. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, duties to include:

  • Oversee all factory operations including production, planning, quality, maintenance, and dispatch
  • Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve output, quality, and safety targets
  • Implement and monitor KPIs across productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, and on-time delivery
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, company policies, and industry standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to optimise workflow and reduce downtime
  • Manage resource planning, shift patterns, and labour allocation
  • Work closely with senior management on capacity planning, forecasting, and operational strategy
  • Oversee machine maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to production
  • Maintain strong communication between departments including Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain
  • Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and production records are maintained

As a successful candidate you will have experience as a Production Manager/Supervisor, Factory Manager, or similar role within manufacturing together with strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence teams and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and workflow optimisation. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong organisational and planning abilities with attention to detail are also essential as is confidence in communication and the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities. A good understanding of H&S regulations and quality standards would also be beneficial.
