Our client, a respected and customer-focused motor retail group, is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join their busy aftersales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident communicator with strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate you will be the key link between customers and the workshop, ensuring every visitor receives a professional, efficient and friendly experience. You will manage service bookings, provide accurate updates, and support the team to ensure all work is completed on time and to the highest standard.
- Greeting customers and managing service enquiries
- Booking vehicles in for service, repair and MOT
- Providing clear explanations of work required and associated costs
- Liaising with technicians to monitor progress and update customers
- Preparing invoices and processing payments
- Upselling additional products and services where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company processes
- Delivering a consistently high level of customer satisfaction
As a successful candidate previous experience in a Service Advisor within motor retail or similar customer-facing automotive role is essential with strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
Confidence in explaining technical information in a customer-friendly way, a positive, proactive and professional approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience using DMS systems (e.g., Kerridge/Autoline) would be desirable.
