Main Kitchen
At Claridge's, our Main Kitchen is fast paced, disciplined and collaborative and is the place for chefs who thrive on precision and creativity. Working alongside some of the most talented chefs in London, you will prepare every dish with exacting standards that reflect our commitment to exceptional dining. The Main Kitchen at Claridge's can be endlessly rewarding for those who take pride in elevating every guest's experience through outstanding cuisine.
As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for:
Supervise the preparation of ingredients for and during service, working alongside the Junior Sous Chefs
Manage and support a team of Commis Chefs, Demi Chef de Parties and Chef de Parties on the section
Ensure that the highest standards are maintained in the preparation of food
Support the rest of the kitchen team during service to ensure a smooth operation
Maintain a positive relationship with the kitchen and front of house team
Coach and develop the junior members of the team for future succession
Successful candidates for our Sous Chef opportunity will:
Experience as a Sous Chef within a five-star or fine dining environment.
Be confident in leading, supporting and motivating a team.
Be skilled at managing service flow and stepping in to support during busy periods.
Provide intuitive service, with an absolute understanding of our guests' needs to create exceptional service experiences that result in lasting memories.
Be a team player who is an avid learner who wants to be challenged and developed.
Have a thorough understanding of Forbes and LQA Standards.
