We are seeking an exceptional Head Bartender to join the Dante Mayfair team at Claridge’s. Maybourne operates some of the world’s most extraordinary hotels, including Claridge’s, The Connaught, The Berkeley and The Emory in London, the Maybourne Beverly Hills and the Maybourne Riviera in the South of France, where exceptional experiences and stories of distinction are crafted that celebrate the design and character of every destination.

As a part of the finely tuned and knowledgeable team, you will be serving our guests delicious modern Italian cuisine and world-class cocktails, creating an unforgettable dining experience. No matter the time of day they join us, you will be there to provide our guests with a seamless service that lingers long after the last sip of their Negroni’s.

As Head Bartender you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the highest level beverage service within Dante.
  • Being creative and constantly reviewing the beverage offering in line with Dante standards.
  • Being aware of notable guests and their requirements and preferences.
  • Overseeing the correct set up of the bar area within the restaurant.
  • Encouraging care for details, in depth knowledge, whilst promoting high team morale.
  • Facilitating constant communication with restaurant team regarding Dante menu updates, dietary requirements and notable guests.
  • Establishing genuine and strong rapport with each guest, based on their expectations.
  • Dealing with and resolving any guest’s complaints.
  • Observing team performance and providing feedback as necessary, whilst liaising with Managers.

Successful candidates for our Head Bartender opportunity will:

  • Demonstrate genuine dedication to Claridge’s and Dante and show a commitment to consistent quality in our product and service.
  • Have previous experience in a Supervisory role and will have worked in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment or high profile restaurant.
  • Have exceptional knowledge of the Dante style of service and product including food, wines and spirits.
  • Be able to motivate and lead a team, is adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a fast pace and with excellent attention to detail.
  • Immaculate personal presentation with professional and welcoming personality.
  • Ability to deal with high profile guests in a professional manner.
