We are seeking a driven Director of Purchasing to join the Purchasing team at Claridge's. Set in the heart of Mayfair, Claridge's is an art deco icon and a byword for understated elegance. Since the 1850s, Claridge's has excelled at the finer things in life: glamorous design, inspiring dining, impeccable service.

As a Director of Purchasing you will be responsible for:

  • Negotiate best possible prices for all products in line with hotel and company purchasing requirements.
  • Research and vet all suppliers before initial purchase, ensuring their conditions of sale, and prices and quality of product or service are acceptable and/or compatible with Hotel policy.
  • Review and maintain all systems of work that cover every aspect of the hotel's purchasing, including the receiving, storage, control and distribution of goods, and spot check agreed pricing in food or non-food on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis.
  • Collate historical data for the Group Purchasing Manager and produce trends and seasonal changes to proactively target areas and predict market changes.
