Claret Capital Partners Limited is seeking a London-based finance professional to join our dynamic team as Europe’s Leading Venture Debt Fund.

Role Overview: As an Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in the entire deal cycle, from market research to fundamental analysis and due diligence. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional development and the chance to build a long-term career in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. You will work closely with the investment team and senior executives while taking ownership of critical aspects of the investment process.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the investment team in appraising new investment opportunities and deal origination.
- Leading the due diligence and execution of new transactions.
- Preparation of investment committee memoranda to support decision-making.
- Responsibility for the management and monitoring of the portfolio.
- Supporting research programmes around market developments and technology trends.
- Tracking new investment opportunities on our CRM system and preparing periodic deal flow reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Candidates must have an excellent academic record and a minimum of a 2.1 Honours degree from a reputable university.
- A post-graduate qualification (CFA, ACA) is highly desirable.
- Excellent financial modelling skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in one of the following: Big 4 Accountancy Firm; Venture Capital; Investment Bank; Private Equity; Private Credit; A reputable Bank’s Debt Finance function.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and interact confidently with senior executives and market participants.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages is considered a major advantage.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently within a small, collaborative team.
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the technology and life science sectors and a natural passion for investing.
- It is essential candidates have a valid work permit or right to work in the UK.
