Clarendon Homes are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Driver/General Labourer to work on our busy projects in Maidstone, Kent and surrounding areas. This role combines driving duties with hands-on work across construction sites and garden/grounds maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will be flexible, physically fit, and willing to support a range of tasks as required.
Skills/Experience required:
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
- Previous experience in construction labouring or a similar role
- Experience in gardening or grounds maintenance
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
Desirable Experience (but not essential):
- Experience using landscaping or construction equipment
- Basic knowledge of health & safety on-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving Duties
- Safely transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance
- Ensure loads are secure and comply with safety regulations
- Assist with deliveries and collections as needed
- Construction Labouring
- Load and unload materials
- Assist with general site preparation and clean-up
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Operate basic hand and power tools (training can be provided if needed)
- Basic landscaping tasks
- Site tidying and upkeep
