20th Century & Secondary Market Specialist
This is a specialist role at the heart of Clarendon Fine Art's 20th Century business. Working closely with the Director of 20th Century and the wider department, you will support the gallery community with expert information and assets across 20th Century and secondary-market artists - driving acquisitions and sales and building the research and education that underpins both for our art dealer network.
It is a rare combination of commercial sales skill with market expertise and influence: one day negotiating with auction houses and private collectors, the next mentoring Art Consultants, writing an investment guide, or steering a major special project from concept to client viewing.
With an art sales background, you will be the primary contact for supporting the business on all Founder x VIP Events. This will entail selecting a relevant and curated representation of 20th Century artworks, plus working with the hosting art consultants to ensure they are briefed properly on the exhibition ahead of the Event. You will also be liaising with the Founder to ensure her wishes are expressed appropriately.
Be the day-to-day specialist behind the sales team, giving consultants and galleries the support and expertise they need to win business.
