The Law Society of Northern Ireland is the professional body for the Solicitor profession with over 6,000 members, of whom circa 3,000 are in practice in the private, corporate, and public sectors in Northern Ireland. The Society is seeking to appoint a new Head of Business Support, to help ensure the organisation has the infrastructure necessary to achieve its objectives and to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in operations.
Working closely with the Executive Team, the postholder will be responsible for financial stewardship and will ensure that the Society has the infrastructure necessary to achieve its objectives and operate efficiently. In addition to finance, the postholder will have oversight of a portfolio of services including IT, Facilities Management and HR Operations.
As an experienced financial leader and qualified member of a recognised accountancy professional body, the post-holder will combine technical with operational leadership to drive performance and greater commercial focus. This includes financial modelling and budgeting along with the ability to communicate complex financial information and funding arrangements to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
