Our client is a highly regarded and progressive manufacturer operating within the offsite construction sector. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and delivery, the business is seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Procurement to lead and develop its procurement and supply chain function.

Reporting into senior leadership, this role will take overall responsibility for the end-to-end procurement strategy, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of materials, components, and services required to support manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening supplier partnerships, driving commercial efficiencies, and ensuring supply chain resilience across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing procurement strategies aligned with operational and commercial objectives
  • Leading supplier sourcing and negotiations
  • Managing supplier performance
  • Identifying cost-saving and value engineering opportunities

The role will also work closely with design, production, and project teams to support Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) principles and ensure procurement activities align with manufacturing schedules and project timelines. The Head of Procurement will oversee purchasing, inventory, and procurement reporting activities, ensuring all materials meet required quality standards, specifications, and UK regulatory requirements.

The role will also utilise ERP/MRP systems, including Microsoft Business Central, to support procurement planning, reporting, and supply chain performance management. We are seeking a commercially astute, strategic, and hands-on procurement leader with proven experience within manufacturing, engineering, offsite construction, or related industries.
