Simon Community, Northern Irelands leading homelessness charity, is seeking a Director of Housing Growth & Property Development to join its Senior Management Team.
Established in 1971, Simon Community provides prevention services, temporary accommodation and specialist support, with a clear mission: to end homelessness.

The Role Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director of Housing Growth & Property Development will provide strategic leadership across the organisations housing and property portfolio.
The organisation supports nearly 500 people across 22 accommodation services.
Its Creating Homes initiative has built a growing permanent housing portfolio, with funding secured for further expansion.
The Director will maximise the value and potential of existing assets, improve the quality and experience of temporary accommodation, and lead the delivery of major capital and refurbishment programmes.
Alongside this, the Director will drive innovation and develop new approaches to growing the organisations housing stock, expanding housing supply through acquisition, leasing, development and strategic partnerships.
They will develop a long-term Property & Assets Strategy and support the sustainable growth of Creating Homes with its Board.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Director will play a key role in delivering Simon Communitys five-year Doing Things Differently strategy, bringing commercial judgement, property expertise and innovation to support the organisations ambitions and its mission to end homelessness.
Key Skills & Experience Candidates should be able to demonstrate: A relevant degree or professional qualification and at least three years relevant experience managing a diverse, complex property portfolio; or at least five years relevant experience demonstrating equivalent expertise.
A track record of delivering property or asset strategies that support growth, service delivery and long-term sustainability.
Strong commercial and financial judgement, including investment appraisal, business cases, budgets, value for money and long-term costing.
Experience of acquisition, leasing, renting, development, refurbishment, disposal and major capital projects, including due diligence and risk management.
Sound knowledge of property compliance, Health & Safety, governance and risk in a regulated or complex environment.
Senior leadership experience, including developing teams, leading change and contributing to organisational strategy.
Experience advising senior leaders and Boards and building effective internal and external relationships.
