The Opportunity
We are seeking a committee member for the Audit & Risk committee with legal expertise to provide assurance on relevant risk identification and management and to inform the organisation's legal risk appetite. This appointment will strengthen the Committee's ability to foresee, qualify and mitigate legal and regulatory risk to protect our tenants, their communities, our partners and the Choice Group.
The role requires:
- A qualified solicitor or barrister with demonstrable experience in contracts, regulatory compliance, or procurement within complex organisations.
- Board-level risk oversight capability, including risk-appetite setting, internal controls and incident response governance.
- Ideally, prior exposure (or knowledge of) charity or public-sector governance, including oversight of internal & external audit and assurance mapping.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organisation with the ambition, scale, and resources of Choice. Board appointments are non-remunerated and require a commitment to attend approximately six meetings per annum.
