We are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff with a passion for caring and early years education. Someone who can join our excellent, established team. We have an excellent reputation and are looking for practitioners who want to focus on delivering our excellent standards of care.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special.
- Is able to laugh at jokes they don’t understand, or don’t find funny.
- Has the ability to pretend to eat mud kitchen creations realistically. This is an essential requirement along with drinking numerous cups of pretend tea.
- Doesn’t have to have the ability to be able to sing in tune, but must have the confidence to sing out of tune in front of a crowd.
- Can give lots of warm hugs, as and when required.
- Has the ability to read a ten-page story, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page.
- Must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
- Loves being outside come rain or shine. At the Cottage Nursery we are great believers that the great outdoors is one of the best classrooms.
- Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like it.
As an Early Years Practitioner working for us you can expect a lovely place to work, with competitive salary, excellent training and promotion opportunities as the business grows. Knowledge of the EYFS is essential. Our recruitment process involves rigorous DBS checks and all posts are subject to securing satisfactory references.
Full time and part time positions available. Full time hours are 43.75 hrs per week (covered by shifts with the earliest starting at 7:30am and the latest finishing at 6:00pm). Part time is for 3 or 4 full days work.
Level 3 Salaried Early Years Practitioner: Pay Rates from April 2025: £12.80 per hour with 5.6 weeks paid leave. For a full time position this is £29,232.00 per annum.
Childcare Discount: 15% rising to 20% after 1 year. There is opportunity to work towards management positions where discount would increase to 30%.
