At Clarence Recruitment, we are searching for the perfect candidate who can fill our Site Manager role at an award-winning academy here at our Warwick school. You are responsible for ensuring safety of students, staff and visitors and running a smooth operation at the school premises.

Key responsibilities:

  • Arrange deep cleans of classrooms, staffrooms, kitchens, and other frequently used areas.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of school buildings and grounds, including routine cleaning, minor repairs, refurbishment and emergency maintenance such as spillages or gritting in cold weather.
  • Compliant with health and safety regulations, carrying out regular checks on fire safety equipment, play areas and other potential hazards.
  • Control access to the school, lock and unlock premises, monitor security systems, and respond to alarms or breaches with care.
  • Lead caretaking and cleaning teams, coordinating daily tasks and preparing for inspections.
  • Arrange repairs, obtaining quotes, maintaining records of health and safety checks, and ensuring compliance with school policies on safeguarding, confidentiality, and equal opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • NVQ Level 2/3, supervisory qualification, or relevant trade qualification (e.g., plumbing, electrical, building maintenance).
  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety certification.
  • Health and safety trained, first aid trained and facilities management experience is beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance.
  • Experience managing contractors, maintenance projects, and budgets.
  • Ability to lead and supervise premises staff, coordinating workloads and contractor activities.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to respond to emergencies outside normal working hours.
