Teacher of History Contract Length: 6 months Pay: £150.00 - £250.00 per day Hours: 15-37.5 per week Location: Leicester We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of History to join a secondary school in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to deliver engaging History lessons while supporting students' academic achievement and personal development in a positive, inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum (KS3-KS4; KS5 desirable) Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and curiosity Maintain accurate records of attendance, attainment, and behaviour Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs Contribute to departmental collaboration, curriculum development, and enrichment activities Communicate effectively with parents/carers and uphold school policies and safeguarding standards Requirements Recognised teaching qualification (QTS preferred) or relevant educational degree Previous teaching or tutoring experience desirable Strong subject knowledge in History Excellent classroom management and organisational skills Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities Role Details This role is ideal for an enthusiastic History specialist eager to make a meaningful impact within a supportive Leicester school environment.
