Are you a passionate and energetic Teacher of Girls' Physical Education looking for an exciting opportunity within a supportive and ambitious secondary school?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Girls' PE Teacher for a maternity cover contract commencing at the new term.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful PE department and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE, helping students develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and a lifelong commitment to health and wellbeing.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Girls' PE lessons across KS3 and GCSE.
  • Encourage high levels of participation, enjoyment and achievement in physical education.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons that support excellent student progress.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, fitness and positive wellbeing.
  • Prepare students for GCSE Physical Education examinations where applicable.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, effort and achievement.
  • Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support extracurricular clubs, sports teams and school fixtures.
  • Contribute to the continued success and development of the PE department.
  • Inspire students to fulfil their sporting potential both inside and outside the classroom.
  • We Are Looking For Someone Who
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Physical Education within a secondary school setting.
  • Is confident delivering Girls' PE across a wide range of sports and activities.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Has a passion for promoting participation, fitness and wellbeing.
  • Can motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
  • Shares a genuine commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
