Are you a passionate and energetic Teacher of Girls' Physical Education looking for an exciting opportunity within a supportive and ambitious secondary school?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Girls' PE Teacher for a maternity cover contract commencing at the new term.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful PE department and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE, helping students develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and a lifelong commitment to health and wellbeing.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and inclusive Girls' PE lessons across KS3 and GCSE.
- Encourage high levels of participation, enjoyment and achievement in physical education.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons that support excellent student progress.
- Promote healthy lifestyles, fitness and positive wellbeing.
- Prepare students for GCSE Physical Education examinations where applicable.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, effort and achievement.
- Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support extracurricular clubs, sports teams and school fixtures.
- Contribute to the continued success and development of the PE department.
- Inspire students to fulfil their sporting potential both inside and outside the classroom.
- We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Physical Education within a secondary school setting.
- Is confident delivering Girls' PE across a wide range of sports and activities.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Has a passion for promoting participation, fitness and wellbeing.
- Can motivate and engage students of all abilities.
- Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
- Shares a genuine commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
