Clarence Recruitment is working in partnership with a highly supportive secondary school in Rugby to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant for the new academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, recent graduate, or someone looking to build a career within education.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can flourish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support across a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and improve outcomes.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with varying educational needs, including SEND requirements.
  • Help build students' confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement both in and out of the classroom.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through intervention programmes and enrichment activities.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting student success.
  • Have the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Hold GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Have a genuine passion for education and helping young people achieve their potential.
