Clarence Recruitment are urgently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (French or Spanish) to join a high-performing co-educational secondary school in Rugby. This is an excellent long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent following a successful initial period. The successful candidate will teach French or Spanish up to GCSE level, with the opportunity to teach A-Level for suitably experienced teachers. You will be joining a well-resourced school with state-of-the-art facilities and a highly supportive Head of Languages, offering a positive and progressive working environment. This role is ideal for a dynamic MFL teacher looking to develop their career within a successful school that values high-quality teaching and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective MFL lessons in French or Spanish
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum expectations
  • Inspire and motivate pupils of all abilities
  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and strong pupil relationships
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community and department

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a UK-recognised teaching qualification
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Ability to teach French or Spanish to GCSE level
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Overseas police clearance where applicable
  • Satisfactory professional references
