We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Business Studies to join a supportive secondary school in Rugby from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their teaching career within a welcoming and well-resourced department, with access to strong mentoring and professional development.
The successful candidate will be passionate about Business Studies and committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to develop commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and an understanding of the modern business world.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5
- Support students in developing knowledge and understanding of key business concepts and real-world applications
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and participation
- Work closely with an experienced mentor as part of the school's ECT induction programme
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Participate fully in wider school life and enrichment opportunities
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending successful completion of teacher training
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Business Studies
