The Role

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms and communal areas.
  • Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising designated areas.
  • Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene throughout the school.
  • Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely.
  • Following all school health and safety procedures.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or potential hazards to the site team.
  • Working efficiently as part of a team to ensure school facilities remain clean and presentable.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous cleaning experience within schools, commercial premises or similar environments.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
  • Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety procedures.
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Professional references covering the previous three years.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, reliable approach to work.
