Are you passionate about helping children learn, grow, and succeed? We are looking for a caring, motivated, and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Lincoln. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in developing academically, socially, and emotionally within a welcoming and inclusive school environment.
Your Role
- Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom through engaging and interactive activities.
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
- Assisting children with varying learning needs to access the curriculum effectively.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Preparing learning resources and supporting classroom organisation.
- Monitoring pupils' progress and sharing observations with teaching staff.
- Promoting children's wellbeing, independence, and enjoyment of learning throughout the school day.
About You
- Be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children's learning and development.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to supporting classroom activities.
- Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above.
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable but not essential.
