The Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

Working closely with teachers and school staff, you will

  • Support children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 with their learning activities.
  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to build confidence and promote progress.
  • Assist children with additional learning needs where required.
  • Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage good behaviour and positive social development.
  • Prepare classroom resources and support day‑to‑day classroom organisation.
  • Promote pupil wellbeing, independence and a love of learning.
  • We Are Looking For
  • Passionate and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, nurturing and positive approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
