The Role

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Girls' PE lessons across KS3 and GCSE.
  • Encourage high levels of participation, enjoyment and achievement in physical education.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons that support excellent student progress.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, fitness and positive wellbeing.
  • Prepare students for GCSE Physical Education examinations where applicable.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, effort and achievement.
  • Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support extracurricular clubs, sports teams and school fixtures.
  • Contribute to the continued success and development of the PE department.

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Physical Education within a secondary school setting.
