This fantastic opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons that encourage students to develop essential culinary skills, nutritional knowledge, creativity, and confidence. The successful candidate will join a supportive Design & Technology department where innovation, student achievement, and high-quality teaching are at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons that challenge, motivate and support students of all abilities.
• Develop students' practical cooking skills alongside their understanding of nutrition, health and food science.
• Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to maximise achievement.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance and academic progress.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Food Technology and wider Design & Technology curriculum.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for practical learning.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• The ability to engage and motivate learners across a range of abilities.
• A commitment to raising standards and helping students achieve their full potential.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and student wellbeing.
