Overview
Clarence Recruitment is currently recruiting for a General Cover Supervisor to work on a part-time basis within supportive secondary schools across Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are looking for flexible, term-time employment.
The Role
- Supervise secondary school classes across a range of subjects.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials provided by teaching staff.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and in line with school policies.
- Support students in completing set work and achieving lesson objectives.
- Promote a positive and productive learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Provide feedback to teaching teams regarding pupil engagement and progress.
- Adapt confidently to different classrooms and year groups.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or training environment.
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- The confidence to lead classes independently.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- A proactive, flexible and professional attitude.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
