Clarence Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons within a supportive and well-resourced department. The successful candidate will inspire pupils to develop practical, creative and technical skills across a range of specialisms within Design and Technology and will contribute positively to the wider life of the school. This role is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs/NQTs and overseas-trained teachers with relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach a broad and balanced Design and Technology curriculum (specialisms welcomed)
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
- Contribute to the development of the Design and Technology department
- Support enrichment activities and wider school initiatives where appropriate
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology
- Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
