Clarence Recruitment are seeking an experienced and innovative Art Teacher for an immediate start at a large 11‑18 mixed comprehensive school in Leicester. This temporary position runs until the end of the academic year and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a thriving and well‑resourced Arts department. This role is ideal for an Art Teacher looking to gain immediate experience within a specialist Arts‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Plan, prepare, and assess engaging creative lessons
- Support student progress and achievement
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and exhibitions where appropriate
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom management in line with school policies
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas‑trained equivalent
- PGCE in Art or a degree‑level qualification in a related subject
- Experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Recent experience teaching in a secondary school (within the last two years)
- Passion for creative education and student engagement
