In this rewarding RE teaching role, you will:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Guide students as they explore a rich range of religious, ethical and philosophical ideas.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for lively discussion, debate and independent thinking.
- Design inspiring lessons that spark curiosity, empathy and a deeper understanding of different perspectives.
- Celebrate students' progress, monitor achievement and provide constructive, meaningful feedback.
- Play an active role in promoting the school's values, inclusion and sense of community.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and enriching extracurricular activities.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting.
- A strong understanding of world religions, ethics and philosophy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to create a positive, well-managed classroom.
- A genuine passion for encouraging respectful discussion, curiosity and critical thinking.
- A clear commitment to helping every student achieve their potential.
- An Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.
