Clarence House Day Nurseries is a well-established group of 15 nurseries and preschools across East Anglia and the East Midlands. We are looking for a highly skilled Manager to lead the team in our new nursery in Spalding, opening in January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Clarence House as we open a brand-new nursery in Spalding, currently undergoing an exciting refurbishment. As the new nursery manager, you'll have the chance to build and shape a team from the ground up, in a fresh, newly refurbished setting complete with its own garden. The nursery will initially offer places for 15 babies, 20 toddlers and 40 preschoolers, with room to grow further as demand increases. It's a rare chance to put your own stamp on a nursery from day one and be part of something new from the very start.

You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager and central admin team, who provide day-to-day support so you can focus on your setting and your staff.

What are we looking for

As Nursery Manager, you'll provide professional leadership to a small team, manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, and ensure the highest standards of care, education and compliance in a setting small enough that you'll know every family personally.

You will be working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, all year round, and your rate of pay will be from £36,000, depending on experience.

You need:

• A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification, held for at least 3 years
• Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager role, ready to take the next step
• Minimum of 4 years of occupational experience in a nursery setting
• A proactive, can-do attitude with strong organisational and delegation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional childcare

Duties and responsibilities:

• Achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
• Lead and manage the staff team, including recruitment, retention, training and day-to-day support
• Ensure all policies, procedures and curricula are implemented and adhered to
• Manage budgets and occupancy levels
• Build strong relationships with parents through an effective parent liaison programme
