Clarence House Day Nurseries is a nursery group with 15 settings in East Anglia and East Midlands.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Room Leader to work in our nurseries in Northampton and Wellingborough.
This is a varied role providing Room Leader cover and additional support across two settings. You will work with different teams and age groups, helping to ensure our children continue to receive high-quality care and education wherever you are based.
You will be working up to 40 hours per week, with a rate of pay of £13.75 per hour.
Regular travel between our Northamptonshire nurseries will be required. Your mileage will be paid at the rate of 30p per mile.
Room Leader Duties and Responsibilities:
- To ensure the highest standard of education and care is provided to children in your charge
- To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the room
- To supervise, mentor and support the members of your staff team
- To liaise with parents, carers and other childcare professionals, providing information as appropriate under the guidance of the Nursery Manager
- To safeguard children
What we are looking for:
We're looking for a person who is self-motivated, passionate and a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. You must have a genuine desire to care for children in a safe and stimulating environment. In addition, you will be required to have:
- A Level 3 or equivalent Early Years/Childcare qualification.
- At least two years' post-qualification experience working in a nursery.
- A good understanding of the current EYFS framework.
- Knowledge of planning, observations and record-keeping procedures.
- A good understanding of nursery safeguarding policies and procedures.
- The flexibility to travel between our nurseries in Northampton and Wellingborough
- A full UK driver's licence
