Clarence House Day Nursery is a medium‑sized nursery group with 16 nurseries in East Anglia and the East Midlands. We are looking for a highly skilled Nursery Manager to oversee our Nursery in Cambridge for a fixed term of 12 months from July 1st 2026, until June 30th 2027. This is a maternity cover.
As Nursery Manager, you will be working closely with our Operations Manager and admin team. You will be working 42.5 hours a week, and your rate of pay will be from £36,000 per year, depending on experience.
You need:
- At least 1 year of previous experience as a Nursery Manager
- Minimum of 4 years of occupational experience in a nursery setting
- To have held a full and relevant Early Years qualification for at least 3 years
- An unrivalled dedication to delivering exceptional childcare
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
Duties and responsibilities:
- To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
- To effectively lead and manage the staff team, including recruitment and retention, providing day‑to‑day guidance, training and support to all staff
- To ensure all policies, procedures and curricula are implemented and adhered to at all times
- To effectively manage the budgets and occupancy levels
- To implement an effective parent liaison programme and to be influential in developing strong links with parents
