As a Fire Engineer, you will join a team in Derby/Warrington to support our activities within the Nuclear Sector. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare Fire Safety Strategies Documents for sites or buildings (preferably industrial facilities).
  • Fire Protection Basis of Design.
  • Analyse building designs and layouts to incorporate effective fire protection systems.
  • ALARP demonstrations or FRAs studies (Fire Risk Assessment) to identify fire hazards and vulnerabilities.
  • Codes and Standards Suitability Analysis (i.e. BS 9999, BS 476, BS 7974, NFPA codes, IFC, EN 54 series, IAEA safety standards, etc.).
  • Gap Management Reports.
  • Design documentation for fire systems (requirements, system design descriptions, P&IDs, equipment lists, equipment sizing calculations).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, fire engineering, chemical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in fire engineering scope, preferably within the energy sector.
