Claremont is seeking a Head of Economics and Business to join our school in September 2027 or sooner. The Economics and Business department is a thriving and highly successful area of the school, with strong uptake at both GCSE and A level. At GCSE, there are currently four classes across Years 10 and 11. At A level, over half of each year group typically studies either Economics or Business. Results in both disciplines are outstanding, with very strong value-added. This opportunity arises following the retirement of the current Head of Department.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong and effective leadership to the department
- Deliver high‑quality lessons that challenge, support and engage learners of all abilities
- Contribute fully to the academic, co‑curricular and pastoral life of the school
- Teach Economics and Business to Year 13
