My client is seeking an accomplished and highly experienced CCIE (Routing & Switching) Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal applicant will be responsible for analyzing, managing, and optimizing network performance to ensure secure and uninterrupted connectivity across all client operations. This role demands comprehensive expertise in network protocols, troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to network administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and sustain optimal network performance.
- Analyze network traffic to identify issues and opportunities for enhancement.
- Deliver both on-site and remote customer support.
- Develop and execute network optimization initiatives.
- Regular security assessments to address and mitigate risks.
- Configure and manage network hardware and software components.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement network infrastructure projects.
- Provide ongoing technical support and resolve network-related problems.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive network documentation and reports.
- Assess emerging network technologies and industry trends.
To be considered for this role candidates must have
- Experience as a CCIE Network Engineer supporting NOC.
- Extensive experience with Cisco Networks hardware and software.
- Proficiency in Cisco ACI and/or NDFC is required.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls is required.
- Familiarity with Extreme Networks hardware and software is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic utilities.
- Knowledge of best practices and tools for network security.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of cloud networking and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with scripting and automation for network management is beneficial.
