Lead Software Design Engineer – Offshore Wind UK
Lead Programmer for software tools for Leading Renewable Engineering Company
NB: please note it is essential to have offshore wind, software coding & structural engineering experience. (Matlab &/ Python)

The Role
- Lead programmer for new software tool for offshore wind.
- You will be leading development of offshore wind turbine foundations concept design tool.
- You will enjoy the challenge of creating code, and have experience with codes such as Matlab, Python or similar.
- Foundations & steel design for offshore wind turbines – stress, FE, loads modelling and complete design of large offshore foundations e.g. Jackets, Monopiles and steel towers.
- Supported by experienced offshore structural engineers, who will help shape the direction of the development with you and will be able to provide specific offshore wind guidance if required.
Essential Experience
- Mechanical / Structural / Civil Engineering degree
- Offshore Wind engineering experience
- Experienced programmer using Matlab &/ Python
- Structural engineering.
Desirable Experience
- DNV’s SESAM-GENIE.
- Dynamics of offshore wind turbine foundation (Jackets / Monopiles/ Floating)
- Steel Structures e.g. Steel towers.
- Geotechnical
