As Principal/ Lead Engineer/ Engineering Manager, you will step up to chief engineer and be able to lead an office in London for a leading engineering consultancy. Specialists in foundations and steel design for offshore wind turbines, focusing on stress, FE, loads modelling, and complete design of large offshore foundations (e.g., jackets, monopiles, and steel towers). This is a broad, lead role combining business development and strategy with management and hands-on design engineering.

Essential offshore wind structural engineering experience at a senior level, including package management, engineering management, and detailed analysis and design in the offshore wind sector. This role is based in London with potential for partnership and involves ongoing personal development and training.

Responsibilities
  • Lead an office in London for a leading renewable engineering consultancy.
  • Drive business development and strategic direction while managing engineering teams.
  • Oversee package management, engineering management, and detailed design work in offshore wind projects.
  • Lead engineering deliverables for offshore wind foundations (jacket, monopile, floating) and steel structures (steel towers).
  • Coordinate with clients and certification bodies as part of project execution.

Qualifications
  • Mechanical / Structural / Civil Engineering degree (BEng/MEng).
  • Offshore wind engineering experience at senior level.
  • Strong background in structural engineering.

  • Experience with offshore wind foundations (jackets, monopiles, floating) and steel structures (e.g., steel towers).
  • Knowledge of floating wind, geotechnical aspects, and fabrication of offshore wind steel components (primary, secondary, TP, monopiles, jackets).
  • Experience with installation and structural dynamics of offshore wind turbine foundations (T&I).
  • Familiarity with certification agencies (DNV-GL, Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, etc.).
