Exciting opportunity for a high profile global engineering company with offices in the UK, EU & China. Requires Structural / Mechanical/ Civil Engineering degree and a background in Offshore Wind Fabrication. The role involves a mix of technical and commercial responsibilities for tenders, bids & delivery of projects.
Company is well-established and respected, managing large scale projects for major clients. Our client has expanded into Project Management for Offshore Wind Fabrication, with long term contracts to design & sign off on fabrication of offshore wind foundations (mix of jackets, monopiles & floating) & topsides.
Role includes:
- Mix of bid/tender/estimate/project management for Fabrication of Offshore Wind Foundations.
- Responsibility for bids, tender and business development for major offshore wind fabrication projects in Europe.
- Leading and managing prequalifications and tenders, building relationships with clients, and delivering successful bids.
- Understanding project owner requirements.
- Leading technical meetings for clarifications and deviations.
The role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, the ability to work in cross-cultural teams, and strong decision-making abilities.
Essential Requirements:
- Structural / Mechanical/ Civil Engineering degree.
- Experience in offshore wind engineering – any of developer, contractor, consultancy or client.
- Experience with offshore wind developers & fabricators – client side.
- Commercial knowledge / bid management experience.
- Offshore Wind Foundation fabrication: Any of Monopiles, Jackets, TP, Floating (or Topsides).
Advantage:
- Experience in commercial aspects of offshore wind (design, fabrication, installation) ideally Foundations.
- Professional qualifications/membership/chartered an advantage.
- Knowledge of codes e.g. welding, coating, and quality control requirements for offshore wind.
Engineering degree and experience of Offshore Wind Developers / Fabricators is essential.
