A specialist technical/engineering company in the global renewable sector (Wind) is seeking a Business Development Manager. This role combines Business Development and Account Management for Engineering/Consultancy Sales.

Responsibilities include:

  • Account Management, Business Development, Sales & Marketing for engineering in the high growth renewables sector.
  • Managing your own Business Development pipeline.
  • Helping to develop sales strategy.
  • Devising and executing new ideas for Business Development campaigns in conjunction with a marketing agency.
  • Using market knowledge to inform the Product Development Team.
  • Building relationships and growing accounts with existing clients while winning new business bids.
  • Meeting clients, attending events, webinars, and engaging in content creation related to renewables.

The role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, the ability to work in cross-cultural teams, and strong decision-making abilities.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Technical Sales &/Business Development Lead ideally within renewable energy.
  • Background in offshore wind/renewables/engineering sales.
  • B2B Business Development processes and technologies.
  • Experience in setting up Sales & BD functions/teams.

Advantageous:

  • Renewables engineering with technical/commercial/market/engineering knowledge.
  • Background in Renewables such as Onshore/Offshore Wind.
  • Experience/contacts/network/knowledge of EPCI for energy companies, wind developers, manufacturers, fabricators, T&I, installation/construction contractors.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot, Slack, Mailchimp, and Teams.
