We are looking to employ a Pastry Chef to join our professional and successful Catering team. The main purpose of this job is to support the Senior Pastry Chef in dessert preparation and presentation. You will contribute to the development of seasonal dessert offerings and ensure excellent quality in pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
If you are an organised individual with good communication skills and the willingness to work as part of a team, then this role may be for you. The hours of work will be 37.5 per week. The kitchen staff work a rota system which includes working evenings and weekends. Because of the nature of the College's activities, some work out of hours may also be necessary.

Located in the heart of Cambridge city centre, the College is extraordinarily beautiful and famed for its gardens on “the Backs” (the famous backs of the Colleges that overlook the River Cam). Clare’s Old Court, a Grade I listed building, is the centre of the College and is unique among the ancient Cambridge Colleges in having maintained its architectural integrity over the course of its history.
Salary and Benefits
The salary is £30,562.43 p.a. depending on experience. In addition, there will be opportunities to claim paid overtime and eligibility for a bonus which is paid in November each year. After three months you will be able to join the College's defined contribution pension scheme, meals on duty, membership of Medicash, parking and various other benefits.
